We are the Community Comms Collective, a registered charity that matches communications volunteers with community organisations and works to lift communications capability in the community sector. Our website address is: https://communitycomms.org.nz.
What personal data we collect and why we collect it
We collect and store information submitted to us via our website and email address about volunteers and community organisations including, where relevant:
- name
- contact information, such as phone numbers and email address
- work experience, skills and qualifications (volunteers only)
- name of community organisation
- location
We use this information to match communications professionals with community organisations who need their help and to share information about our services.
Accessing your personal information
You can ask us to remove your personal details at any time by contacting us at comms@communitycomms.org.nz. You also have the right to ask for a copy of any personal information we hold about you, and to ask for it to be corrected if you think it is wrong.
Who we share your data with
Access to this data is limited to our Wellington and Auckland matchmaking teams. For the purpose of events we run, we may also share names of registered attendees and the organisation they work or volunteer for with relevant partners (eg Volunteer Wellington, workshop presenters).
Security of data
We take reasonable steps to keep your personal information secure and to protect it from unauthorised access, modification and disclosure and from misuse, interference and loss. We will store your data only for so long as the information is required to carry out our services or you ask us to remove it.
